Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Emissions reduction targets
Although Rumi Medtech operates a near-zero emission model, we are committed to continuous improvement. We will:
- Maintain a digital-first operating model with 100% remote working to avoid travel and office-related emissions.
- Engage with digital service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, SaaS) that demonstrate strong sustainability credentials and ensure that by 2035 we only use providers with published Carbon Reduction Plans and commitments to achieve Net Zero by 2050, in line with UK Government targets.
- Prioritise sustainable IT use, ensuring that developer devices are energy efficient, reused where possible, and responsibly recycled at end of life.
- Minimise business travel, with all training and support delivered remotely wherever possible.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Our emissions are minimal, but we have implemented the following measures to sustain Net Zero alignment:
- Remote-first policy – avoiding emissions associated with commuting and office energy.
- Green hosting strategy – prioritising hosting providers that use renewable energy.
- Sustainable IT use – ensuring laptops and devices are procured efficiently, reused where possible, and responsibly recycled at end of life.
- Low-carbon working practices – limiting unnecessary travel by conducting training and customer engagement online.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard4 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting5.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard6.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
